"Ahab's Apotheosis"

Heres a piece I did for my Moby Dick Literature class. Depicts Ahab, the Pequod, and a hint of Moby amongst many Melvillian Metaphors. On the backside of the painting in the previous post.

Into Form

Not quite done with this, not sure when/if I will so I though I might post these. Following the style of one of my most inspirational artists for me, Autumn Skye Morrison.

"Untitled" - 16"x20"

"As Within, So Without" 9" x12"

This was a final project for my English Image and Writing Class.
It had to incorporate image and text some how. I ended up painting then figuring out what I wanted to quote. I ended up seeing a pattern with the white squares; some going into my eye from my heart area where there ended up being a sort of abstract explosion thing. I realized this could illustrate "as within; so without" perfectly and the words fit perfectly into the squares. And it makes a cycle too. It was a perfect and unconscious unfolding haha. (sorry for the lousy lighting in photos =/)
Heres the sequence:

Painting Final: "Merkaba Rising" -5.5' x 3.5'

This was another fun art piece devoted to working abstractly. I feel like I was following themes such as parallel dimensions, organic-like structure, and the merkaba.
Here is a time-lapse of the painting process

Seabury Hall Athletic Dept. Logo

I wanted to use the old "flower of life"
geometry, which is supposedly composed of the
strongest geometrical shapes, to signify
interconnectedness and cohesion
amongst team mates.

I had to add more to this, and make a background, and here it is, still not entirely sure about it though...
